CUFA Centrafrique is delighted to have participated in Mandela Day, an event organized in collaboration with YALI Centrafrique, the Jeune Action association, and the Bangui City Hall. This day is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Nelson Mandela, a global icon renowned for his fight against apartheid in South Africa—a struggle that remains etched in the world’s memory.
The event provided a valuable platform for exchange and reflection on Nelson Mandela’s enduring impact. His relentless pursuit of peace, unity, and equality continues to inspire and influence people around the globe.
Our involvement in Mandela Day also allowed us to discuss and showcase the tangible actions our organizations are undertaking. It was an excellent opportunity to network with other young leaders and strengthen our collective efforts to tackle the challenges faced in the Central African Republic.
YALI, the Young African Leaders Initiative, was established by former U.S. President Barack Obama and brings together over 700 young leaders annually in the United States for intensive training in various leadership disciplines. The program, which also operates regionally across the continent, is a significant opportunity for young Africans. CUFA Centrafrique proudly supports and promotes YALI to the youth in the Central African Republic. We highly recommend this program to young people eager to advance their skills and make a difference.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to YALI Centrafrique and Jeune Action, with special appreciation to Mr. Boris and Mr. Théophane for their invaluable contributions.
